Hi All

Does anyone else have a Pre97 MY Turbo with a Strut Brace fitted.
I have an OMP brace, & while I think it makes a difference to the cars handling, whenever I go hard through the gears, the brace vibrates against the intercooler and produces a funny noise (undescribable)
On post 97 cars the intercooler is situated further forward so I guess this isn't a problem.
When my dealer fitted it, they put some sticky pads at the point where the brace & cooler touched but these soon wear away.

Any suggestions?

Is the strut braces fitted infront of the intercooler or behind? Maybe the strut is not for your model version. Pls check. Look at the bracket. It is properly adjusted .
good luck

The strut brace is fitted behind the intercooler & was fitted by a dealer so it should be the correct one.
All the dealer can suggest is more sticky pads. They also tried un-screwing the bolts that hold the cooler in place and moving it slightly but this didn't work either)
