I am taking delivery of a STI V Type R very soon. I was wondering what is
the recommended engine oil grade, and what brand would you suggest. Can the black film be taken of the side and rear window.

I'm not sure what the recommended oil grade for the STi is, but I would suggest using a high quality synthetic oil (eg Mobil 1 Motorsport), or semi synthetic oil.

I don't think the "film" can be removed I'm afraid, but it might be worth talking to a professional tinting shop for advice once your car arrives. I believe you can order replacement clear glass, but it will be expensive (I think someone was quoted £800 a while back), as it has special mouldings for the rear wiper assembly.

Just make sure you take out the glass replacement cover on your insurance!
