as I am sh1te at them:D
I want to copy some files from a network share to local PC’s when a user logs on to the PC, a small batch file will be placed in the startup folder. However I only want this to happen when they are connected to the domain. Can anyone suggest anything ?? something that can read from set command maybe to determine if on domain ?? cheers shunty |
FFS..
I hate it when people do this.. Simple way is in the login script, that way if they connect to the domain then they run the script.. Mail me and Ill help you out.. If you do only want to copy from a server to local machine.. then check %logonserver% something like IF NOT NULL.. Copy \\server\share\file c:\localpath I also recommend using robocopy instead. I want a seperate batch file, vb script etc that I can run seperatly & drop in the startup folder & if they are not part of the domain then it will run & copy files.
The copying bit's not the problem, it's the domain detection. I thought someone would have already done something like this to be honest david, can you post the commands for me ?? anyone else help if david's to busy or can't do it;):D ?? shunty [Edited by shunty - 9/17/2003 12:04:34 PM] |
