Hi,

I am going to tune my new STI8.
My starting plan is:
Stage 1.
1)ARC intake
2)uppipe + decat downpipe + decat exhaust 3'
3)exhaust manifold
4)boost controller

Should I upgrade my Fuel Pump and fuel regulator? how many L/H fuel pump will I need?
Which version of ECUTEK can you recommend for this stage?
---------------
Stage 2
1)FMIC
2)turbo greddy 518
3)injectors 650 ρρ.

how many L/H fuel pump will I need for this stage?
which ECU can I use for this stage? Will ECUTEK be enough or I should use something MOTEC or GEMS on this stage?
----------
The main problem is that I am in Russia. We don't have here things like:
1)good 98 fuel (only in several stations)
2)dynostation
3)specialists who professionally tunes the ECU (only in rally teams).
Also all available ECUs are: MOTEC, ECUTEK....and PPP.

so what can you reccomend to do with ECU in this condition?
I installed PPP ECU on STI7 and I don't wan't to install it on my new STI8: I need better perfomance.
We have ECUTEK dealer here but 2 friends of mine have broken engines right away after have been remapped....so I am a bit scared of going ECUTEK way. It seems that the safest way here is to install Boost controller only.
Pls advise.

I read it already!
My question is different if you read it...

Stage 1

Best to get the flexible version of ECUTEK, that way it is adapted to suit your car with the modifications you have installed. No need for the boost controller, the remapped ECU will handle this on its own. if you just fit the boost controller, boost will be controlled but you nothing to control extra fuel.

Stage 2

Fuel pump & regulator - 255l/h I think will suffice for stage 1 & 2.

Motec ECU's are good but very expensive and don't have knock control which is not a good idea with your low octane fuel.

ECUtek can be made to handle your stage 2 requirement succesfully.

I am having GEMS ECU, mainly to get rid of the MAF to allow further mods in the future.

Hope this helps :D
