Guy's,
Question as above. I want to reset my MY'99 ECU(with ECUTek-2)because I had an 'oildump',which polluted my MAF-sensor.My Engine stalled,so I'm allmost sure the ECU sensed a knock, and changed my ignition timing. MAF is cleaned, and works fine, but I am not sure my ECU is still in his best 'performance-mood' How long do I have to disconnect the battery to be absolutely sure,my ECU is properly resetted to it's original ECUTEk2-mapping? (I do not have the DeltaDash software unluckely) Thanx for all answers,or other suggestions. Grtz.Arend Terpstra Holland |
If you want to be absolutely sure, don't mess about with the battery, use the read memory and test mode connectors under the steering column to do a hard reset on it.
Instructions here among other places. |
i disconnect mine for about an hour

I heard today half an hour should do the trick indeed to set everything back to the initial(ECITek-)mapping.
