Careful Squizz,
I'm blonde and often wear my shades whilst driving http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Not toff nosed though and certainly don't bother checking out my reflection - not a pretty sight. Always wave although some miserable B**gers don't wave back. Don't stick us all in the same boat, I bought my Scoob for the performance not for the pose value.

suba 08 May 2000 02:26 AM

must be me waving @ you then.

Squizz 08 May 2000 09:23 AM

Schuey - I live in Worcester, and notice the same thing. Must be said, a lot of the scooby's I've seen are driven by toff-nosed blondes wearing shades and checking their own reflection far too often.

A worrying trend, I feel.

I always flash and wave anyway, I'm used to the camaradarie...Having had a Triumph TR7V8 before the Scoob. Lotsa Triumph TR's in our area.

Shame the Scoobs are passing out of the hands of enthusiasts and into the mainstream, really.

What is wrong with drivers in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. Hardly any of you wave or flash your lights, and as for 5 door owners !!!!!!
Over the last week I've had more thumbs up and nods of the head from bikers!!!!
So come on guys ( and girls )please acknowledge a fellow scoob driver.

GranTurismo 09 May 2000 09:22 AM

Hello, I live in Gloucestershire and get a reasonably good wave ratio. Better than in my MR2 I had previously.

Incidently to any of you boys/girls in this area have you been chasing my mate in his blue elise? If so beware he now has a grey sport 160 which is terrifyingly fast.

...........

Stupot 09 May 2000 11:06 AM

I got a wave off a silver 5 door as I left the M25 to join the A2. If you are reading this, I did wave back but was unsure u saw http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I see loads of Scoobies, but never wave cos I think you would all just be wondering why a Legacy driver was waving

So if any of you see a green Legacy GTB, with lots of lights on the front, wave at me

Well, pleased to say I FINALLY got a wave in Lewes on Sunday - rock on dark blue 4-door V-plate!

Since I've been reading this BBS, and "...but no waves", I've been waving every scoob available - and getting "shuddup, freak" looks in response. Most disheartening!

Persevere; there's a few good folk out there!

schuey 12 May 2000 07:53 PM

It finally happened!!!!! I got a wave off some bloke in a 5 door.
I also got a wave of some gorgeous blonde in what looked like a 22B. ( Shame about the kid in the back. )
I've also noticed that there seem to be a lot more female scooby drivers these days. Are they ownners or just using the other half's car ?
More thumbs up from bikers, so all in all not a bad week.

Im puzzled by this thread http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif,I understand the scooby owners waving to each other its something the rs owners have been since time
but why would bikers wave to a scooby owner,
Im puzzled as a biker there is a certain amount of snobbery ie the sports biker does
not always acknowledge the custom biker or the smaller cc biker but why wave to a scooby owner I also own a escort cosworth and when I am out on my bike I dont wave to cossie owners!I mean whats the point the bike has nothing in common with them.
am I missing something http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

cheers barksie

NITO 12 May 2000 10:31 PM

It might have been me Stupot in the Silver 5 as I'm regularly up and down the A2/M2!!

I live near Canterbury and there seems to be a high concentration of anti-social Scoobs down this way!!

Come to Horsham West Sussex, great roads, lots of Scoobys and we all seem to acknowledge each other, plenty of imports too as Lockyear Cars is the closest dealer and they bring 'em in by the bucket load.... look out for us in a black p-plate STi version 3...

PS: I'm a biker too, and bikers 'nod' to Scoob drivers as a sign of respect for a damn fine machine. That's why they don't nod at cossies ;-).... also, I even nod at learners, so I'm not a sports biker snob :-)
