Ello!
Anyone know how to completely remove the carpeted rear shelf of a Classic so that i can tint the rear glass?

Cheers

It's a bit of a pain to be honest mate, You have to remove the rear seats. First the bottom half, there are two nuts holding the seat down. ( imagine you were sat in the back seat, then the nut would be between your legs...OOh er! ) Obviously remove the one on the other side and the bottom half should slide forward and out. The back part..You will have to unscrew the carpet from the split seat ( Boot side ) then from where you have removed the lower half of the back seat you should find 3 nuts ( Left side/Centre/Right side ) undo these and lift the seat up and out. You should then be able to remove the capeted shelf..Phew! Good luck mate.

Steve.

Cheers mukka! I managed to remove the seat but the carpet shelf was stuck by the sides. I managed to get access to the glass in the end - but botched up the tint! So i'll get a pro to do the back screen!

Thanks
