I am considering experimenting with the addition of toulene to my fuel , perhaps achieving a 102-103 octane fuel.My question is , can I continue to raise advance to a limit that is only governed by the onset of knock or do other factors prohibit this philosophy?

So where are you getting toulene, or even toluene as we chemists call it?
That stuff is a serious cancer risk and is being, or has been, withdrawn. Ditto benzene, also used as an octane booster.
We have had to find safer substitutes for laboratory use.

If you have any respect for the environment & the people in it, please don't use toluene. As posted, highly carcinogenic.

The attached data sheet suggests that toluene is not a risk as you guys have indicated.Of course I would not use if as lethal as suggested.

It is/was a suspected cancer risk (as is going to bed late, eating sugar & breathing too much air :rolleyes:) but there's no actual evidence, just guesswork. Given the amount used, I don't think it would be a risk to anyone, even if it was a cancer risk, as long as use wasn't widespread.
For all we know, standard boosters are a huge health risk, but no-one has found out what yet.

Industrial paint stripper's pretty much pure toluene (methylbenzene to give it's more modern name)....

It is nasty stuff though - don't get it on your skin, as it'll soak straight through and poison you...
