whereabouts on the A40? - I was there at this time, between park royal and paddington...however, don't remember asking a 996 to get out of the way!

It was just after the (as i call it) Edgware road flyover, still in the 50 zone :) and just before the Shepards Bush turn off.

The DBM had a standard backbox on it :)
