is a feckin' nuisance - it's time for a respray to stop it looking quite so pock marked.
The problem is, this will mean removal of the armorgard (or whatever it's called, the clear plastic stuff)which will leave it even more exposed post respray. Anyone managed to get hold of replacement armorgard (if so, how much?) or come up with another solution? cheers Gordo |
Isn't the Armourfend supposed to stop the chips in the first place?

The car is just over two years old now and the Armourfend has worked pretty well - I guess you can never expect it to be perfect.
The areas worst affected are just above the Armourfend (it only covers about the first 2 inches) and the corners where it didn't really cover them anyway. Presumably I'm not the only one suffering with the lip? Ingenious solutions welcomed! cheers Gordo |
thanks PaulMc - they're e-mailing me the technical drawings so I can select which bits I need - will post what I can & costs when I've got the info.
cheers G still looking for other solutions people might be using! |
Strangely, after the front end of my Scoob was resprayed (by a previous owner) it hasn't suffered too badly with stone chips. There are one or two, but nothing compared with some I've seen.
It had a low front lip too, until that met with a low curb :( |
