As the title suggests, a hypothetical question about the warranty on a new STi8.

If the car was purchased from a dealer some distance from where you lived due to very keen pricing, would any warranty problems need to be addressed with the supplying dealer or can the car be taken to your local (not so keen on price) dealer??

What about the first service? (1000mile) Does the car have to be returned to the supplying dealer for this?

Thanks for any help.

Any dealer should be fine

You can take the car to any Dealer for warranty work and the first service.

IIRC the Dealer that does the 1000 mile oil change has to invoice the supplying dealer for the work done.
