more stuff culled from the pages of Britains finest newspaper Would you trust these people to look after your car. Criminal negligence in my book. I've used these people in the past- never again. |
Private airport car parks has been on here before. I used one once, but never again. Their staff pack the cars to within an inch of one another, then have to shift fifty or so in order to extract just one. Your car's engine will be started about 200/300 times in a week, and from cold, that's when most engine wear is caused. If, as happened to me, you discover fresh bodywork damage, you will be made to wait for several hours before being seen and then fobbed-off that the "damage was already there". I wish I could spread this warning to all drivers. Never, ever, use them.

They said they always put them [keys] above the driver’s sun visor |
I hope they have to pay for all the cars that don't get recovered and also for any damage to the others. Difficult to imagine how they can be so stupid and inefficient, as well as not living up to the claimed security levels.

True story,
My old chap used to work for a major hire car firm at Gatwick, oneday someone returns a Porsche (cabrio or targa 911/964 probably judging by how long ago it was), daddy decides to take it for a rag, not realising chap hadn't properly secured the roof, You can guess what happened next, One quick splat up and down the road turned into several as he raced back to pick up the mangled roof. OOPS! Moral of this story, these people don't treat your car as you would, if your not happy with this, leave it at home. Cheers Dave [Edited by DJFish - 8/26/2003 11:39:49 PM] |
