Just back..

Was an ok night, a few decent cars there..good turn out from thr Lotus Boys as usual.

Only 1 of the Ferraris turned up, a 360, but he wasn't pushing it at all.

GT40 replica (i think) was nice.

And Kev..i presume you were the Esc Cos.. I parked next to you when i came in (blue wagon) But didn't know which one was you to say hello.

Weather stayed good too :)

Managed to capture a Skyline spinning on video. Will get it uploaded when I get some web space. Meanwhile here are some stills.

Well I was there unlike the TVRs. I thought the turnout was a bit disapointing. Just the usual Track Day tarts and the Ferrari and the GT40.
I was there with my 10 year old nephew and I tried hard to get him out in a friends caterham but he just wasn't up for it.
Saw a couple of wagons. A pale blue one and a reddish one. Was that you?

kevin sharp 26 August 2003 01:19 PM

johnny..yep that was me...i was the good looking one! LOL

i had a good night but had to turn the boost down to 22psi after one of the boost hoses blew off twice

i,m going to have to do something about my brakes..it boiled the fluid on the last run (330mm ap 4pots)

good night though..i,ll be at the next one :D

does anyone have any more pics? :)

Johnny50 26 August 2003 02:36 PM

Zeolite, there were a few wagons there lastnight eh ?

Dark Blue wagon, Red Mica wagon, and my Blue one.

Kev...Cossie is awesome mate. :) That box works really well, was laughting at how quick the changes were :D

Cant comment on any good looking blokes though...surely i was the best looking out the lot ;)

Next time i'll say hi. :)

kevin sharp 26 August 2003 04:49 PM

cheers johnny, the box is a handful till you get used to having 7 gears
i,ll meet you next time then :)

I was up - watched that Skyline spin from Duffus as well :D He practically vanished inside a massive cloud of smoke...well I think it was smoke...did have a brown tinge to it right enough ;)

And the noise from that GT40...mmmmmm......lovely :)

Johnny50 27 August 2003 07:41 AM

The GT40 was something else..

Although had to hold my breath when he spun at Duffus..

Luckily for him the gravel stopped him, and strangely enough, he came in after that. ;)

skyenet 27 August 2003 09:46 AM

Saw the GT40 in my mirrors on the straight about 200 yards behind me so was hoping to let him by after Clarks to get some video of him. Just as I was going down towards the chicane I saw the cloud of bits and pieces flying as he went off. Glad he was alright, but he could have waited till I was behind him to do it.

Ross Taylor 27 August 2003 12:55 PM

I *was* behind the GT40 when it spun, but unfortunately I was on a cool down lap, so he'd pulled away a little...I rounded the top of Duffus to waved yellow's, and spotted him in the gravel...

Nice car - Quick in the straights, but didn't seem to suit the twisties at KH... ;)

Ross.
