Having been in a 'modest' Impreza convoy over the weekend, I have been told the front of my car visibly lifts under acceleration compared to standard cars, and that an anti-lift kit would be a worthwhile investment.
Have heard them 'banded about', but what are they, and where does one purchase/get one fitted?? Thanks. |
There has been a lot of discussion about the anti-lift kits on the Impreza RS BBS, check it out

I hope Mark doesn't mind me cross posting this from IWOC? Just seemed to sum it up more accurately from an un-biased point of view.
Product reviewed: WhiteLine Anti-lift/castor kit. ================================ After two weeks of trial on the local roads (the mountains around Grenoble) and the local track (Champier near to Lyon), I can now say that this upgrade gets my two-thumbs-fresh approval for VFM performance improvements. It does what is says - reduces lift on corner exit when accelerating and reduces power-induced understeer significantly. Steering feel (weight) is increased a little and can give the impression that the car is more reluctant to turn-in on med-high speed bends (>75mph). However, it is just that -- an impression -- which is more than compensated for by increased levels of front-end feel and grip. On the circuit, when pulling out of tight corners and hairpins, the inside front wheel can now heard to be fighting for traction (not previously noticed - an argument for an LSD on the front?). With this said, there is no understeer, whereas previously there was. For medium corners (third gear), corner entry, mid, and exit is impeccable allowing an increased corner speed throughout. Corner entry front-end grip does seem a lot better, especially on slowers corners. On RE010's (the OE tyre) my lap times had reduced to a consistent 1min 24secs (best was 1:23::70) without trying too hard. Previous times for the same level of effort was around 1min 26 with semi-slicks. --------------------------------------------------------- Price: £146.88 inc vat + delivery and fitting Supplier: Scoobymania (http://www.scoobymania.co.uk/) ---------------------------------------------------------- |
