My actuator has gone but I don't know where!!

Where is the thing and is it easy to replace?

PIA locking and unlocking tailgate all the time.

Im not able to answer your Q sorry but if any one does then feel free but at the same time I have similar problem with the tailgate? basically I presume it as central locking cos all the gubins is there but it looks like one of the terminals as got wet and burnt out but also the rear defogger doesn't work aswell and keeps blowing the fuse every time I change it??????any suggestions.

the most common cause of problems in the tailgate on 5 drs is in the rubber grommet thing on the right hand side where the loom runs from the tailgate to the body. the wires tend to break inside so cut a slit in the rubber boot and see if there are any broken or touching and repair them then see if it works

this may be the cause of me blowing fuses for the rear-defogger will check later
