Over the past week my scoob developed a really REALLY annoying squeak from the front O/S corner, usually when travelling slowly over a bumpy surface. It worsened as the week went on, to the point where it was doing a couple of squeaks as the engine switched off.
It was driving me crazy, and I was really hoping it wasn't something serious - but at the same time i didn't reckon it was the suspension etc as it didn't do it if you pressed down on the front. Yesterday I opened the bonnet and then switched off the engine, so that i could try and locate the noise. As it turns out the alarm siren's bracket has sheered off, and was dangling against the engine bay - thus creating the sound. I've tied it up for now using wire, as it was heading towards the downpipe/turbo heat-shield. Has anyone had this fixed under (extended??) warranty?? Or am i gonna have to shell out for them to sort it? Don't really wanna bodge it myself! Andy |
BTTT - need to get me car booked in if it will be done on warranty!

yep, people have had this done under warranty. It's an atrocious piece of design that is just horribly, horribly wrong :D
