In non-tech terms, its a sensor on the engine block that outputs an increasing signal depending on the level of noise (or KNOCK) that the engine is producing....

This output is fed to a set of LEDs, going from Green, through yellow to RED...

It reacts to the extra noise of a pre-detonating cylinder (and to a spanner being tapped on it ;) )

When its red, take your foot off the GAS, or buy a new engine

Basically....

I'm going to fit one over the next couple of weeks, so I can turn up the Boost once I've fitted my Dawes :D

AFAIK every modern car has a knock sensor fitted. You could therefore fit the external Knocklink display to any car.
