Anyone from Edinburgh going to crail this Sunday???????

I was at Crail on Sunday. Saw alot of nice cars and there was a few scoobies. UK's fastest scooby was there but the times for all of the cars were not that impressive on the track which makes me think that the timing was a bit pear shaped. Bit cold tho

I don't know much about the scooby but it was just the commentator that said that it was the fastest scooby in the uk.
There was also a scooby which had been modified to a rear wheel drive which i had to hear again as i didn't believe it.
The scooby sadly didn't win the fastest 4WD, it went a an escort cozzie

I think if you had gone to Knockhill you would have seen a much quicker Subaru in the shape of Kenny McInstry's WRC version. certainly would be more expensive!

Was it a white ra that was at Crail?

The white subaru that ALLEGEDLY has 550 bhp was the car that sarah was talking about. It is owned by a bloke from CRD.

It sure as hell does not run 550 seeing as both Dave Brown (AWD) and I beat it hands down (GOOD JOB DAVE - Looks like AWD are the winners in the eternal struggle, AGAIN:D:D:D)

Still, we're happy with 5th fastest:D Must agree with the qoute about the lights though as Keith Cowie won TOTB II with 9.96 and only got a 11.26 at Crail. Must be the lack of sticky tarmac as well!

Kevin's car was the fastest 4wd car of the day with 11.1sec IIRC......

I was standing at the beginning of the 1/4 and thought about coming over when everyone was waiting for them to change the timing sensors but you looked like you were "in the zone" so decided not to!! :D

doug andy wasnt their mate and grant kev done 11.2 mate and keith done 11.1 he had some probs but was fecking awesome to watch along with kev :D and my mate scooby p1 kev :cool: what a mad fecker :D

Sadly I didn`t make it due to a few tekno hicups (started a project too late) :(

car ran like clockwork all day and i was pleased with the times i did...its only the second time i,v had it at crail since pputting the 7 speed box in it but im getting used to it now ;)

grant you should have come over mate..i wont bite! LOL

Yeah was at crail on sunday. Got bored so left early. I seen this crd scoob go up the track it was quick but no way did it have 550bhp. Wuz did your scooby not have faster times than crd's one.

I was also down at Crail (went down Saturday night, B&B, had a few beers) it wasn't as busy as i would have thought but it was ok.

Kevs cossie couldn't believe the wheel spin from the start line !!
Shows the power when it takes off.

We ended up having to come up the road early due to a mate having to work Sunday night so didn't see the end.
Heard the announcer saying CRDs Impreza was the fastest in Britain ....... don't think so !!
If so why wasn't it in the top 5 ??

Hadn't seen that jet powered quad before, the guy is mad looks like fun though.

Anyway, im off to Japan to get some more toys including a replacement for the old R32. Time for something really fast..... See you all soon!

hi andy mate i will check but i caught u LD i was going to edinburgh to pick up the wife and baby , they were at my aunties house and had to pick them up to go back tae glasgow mate and guess who i see :D u racing with that grey r32 and the motorbike :D the grey r32 was so slow he wouldnt let u pass , your skyline was alot faster at pick up mate, pity he didnt move over , i caught the glimpse of u catching up with the bike later

i,v just checked out my times on crails website and i did in fact run a 10 when against keiths skyline

11.548 / RT.583/ 60 ft 1,882/ 128.2 mph = 1/4 time of 10.987

At the risk of going against the flow,I honestly thought that the Crail day was seriously badly run!Against my better judgement (My girlfriend wanted to go) I decided to go to Crail to see if things had improved since the last time (During which time CRail has no doubt made a fortune of us!) but I was let down as usual.On arrival I parked my car in the only space I could find only to be told by some obnoxious little **** on a quad bike to "Move that,you cannae park there" No please move or anything approaching civility just pure ignorance.My reply was less than cordial and involved one finger. Once I had booked on and joined the back of the line I was disgusted to find that jumping in was still happening (Orange crap box Fiesta et all) and that the organisers were doing absolutely sod all about it.We all pay over the odds to use Crail as it is the only such place in Scotland (Very lucky for them)and we get treated with utter contempt by them! The run off road is still an alloy and paintwork minefield even although on that on day alone they must have made easily £15000! Ever thought of improving your facilities??!!

I will NEVER,NEVER go to Crail again Knockhill humiliates it for facilities and customer service.
