Hi there

my first post here so hoping not to commit any mistakes!

Thinking about buying a 2000 legacy turbo estate as above, 45k miles, very clean.

Already drive a legacy estate UK version - does anyone have any views or comments on the above car, its a import, insurance is no problem.

Any help most appreciated.

Ta very.

2.2

That'd be an aftermarket modded car coz it ain't std...they come from the factory as 2.0s;) If it is a Tommy Kaira 2.2 it'll be a frikin rocket:D I've driven a couple and they were both fab (OK, not as fast as a well tweaked Rex - the TK 2.2 STi pumps circa 355ps, vs the TK 2.2 Legacy's 315). But the TK 2.2 TT has torque by the bucket load - 40kg/m - luverly:) (those are manual #s btw)

Anyway, in general they are very good indeed (yes, I am biased ;) ). They need all the care of the hi-po JDM Rex because of the std hi-output (ie love oil changes, hate poor fuel), don't take mods as easily as the Rex, have a good balance of performance and comfort, etc, etc.

HTH - as long as it is reliable, and you can live with the fuel economy, you can't go wrong IMHO.
