Taken from the 4Car website today.....
"This unusually hot weather has led to heatstroke for many people, sunburn for plenty more - and frostbite for one unfortunate Jaguar driver who travelled from London to Manchester with his air conditioning turned up full blast. The Guardian reports that the 46-year old solicitor had driven the 250 miles in his automatic XK8 with his left foot bare and with the chilled air directed onto it, to soothe a mosquito bite. He went to his doctor after his toes turned numb, one turned blue and another black - classic symptoms of frostbite. Jaguar has commented that since its air conditioning systems are very efficient, it would not advise putting exposed skin too close to the vents. The man will suffer no long-term effects of his frostbite, but will have to keep his foot warm for the next few days."
My aircon couldn't even stop a Mars Bar melting.... :(
