Returned to the car after a day at Donnington on Sunday to find my car had left without me. Met a chap there searching for his similarly missing motorbike. When I spoke to the West Midland Crime Unit they told me a BMW and a Lotus had been stolen on the Saturday.

WRX Sti 99 Grey T649.

The car parks at Donnington seem to have a a bit of a problem at the moment, be careful there.

 I suppose race circuit car parks always have nice cars but they are also busy  How did people nick these when the car parks would have been busy :eek:

What security did you have on it?Interested in the lengths the scumbags will go to to steal your pride and joy.

My insurance company told me NOT to have security sticker in window showing what the car was alarmed with. Those apparently are the cars targeted as the thieves know just what to do regarding whatever alarm is installed

yes that is good advice they are not that stupid they will know the weakpoints of most alarms leave them guessing!!

Donnington Park is East Midlands, did you report to the Leciester/Derby/Notts constabularies?

the people that amaze me are those with TRACKER across the back window !!!
like you are going to advertise the fact that a tracker is fitted to your vehicle ? i dont think so. it must be heartwrenching going back to an empty space at a track meet, not just because your pride and joy has gone but also how do you get home ? the hassle of it all. one of the cosworths that was stolen from ford fair was from belgium, how would he have got home ? prolly his passport etc were all in the car. if you want to keep it then wheel clamp it, by using a good wheel clamp theres no way that a thief would attempt to steal it in broad daylight, its hassle putting it on but beats getting the train home. cheers nomad
