Thanks for the replies peeps,

We left @ 6.20, arrived about 5 or 6 miles away on A14 in about 2.75 hours and then travelled half a mile in a further 2 hours!!

Nightmare of grand proportions.

Couldn't get into the base as it was gridlocked, and so found a campsite to park up on.

Rebecca, you're quite right. It is a hell of a long way to go for an airshow, but Mildenhall is one of the best when you can get on base and the weather's good.Unfortunately, neither applied in this case.
Saw a good few Scoobs, but didn't get acknowledged by any other than a Silver 4 door who passed me on the A14 on the way home.

So, Gavin, when's the Waddington Show. Can't make Cottesmore (RIAT?)

What's the colour of your motor?.If you're in Macc, you're not too far away.I'll keep a look out.

Should have gone to Bentwaters instead .... much more fun ... and no trouble parking there either .... whole bloody great airfield to park on ... well apart from the track of course http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
