I had 4x 215/40/17 Goodyear F1 GSD3 tyres supplied, fitted, balanced with stick on weights, and filled with Nitrogen  for £402 at http://www.merityre.co.uk in Bagshot if anyone is interested?

Exactly the same £380 from Bracknell Tyre & Battery.

Humphries just around the corner did mine for £79 each!!

Inc Vat? Bloody hell. Not bad.

On the bad side, not sure about the tyres at all. I know I'm still bedding them in, but in the dry they are very strange (no chance to try them in the wet yet).

May get better soon, but if not, I'm going back to the old P0's

Mine got better as the miles accumulated.
Yes it was inc VAT.

Danny B 10 August 2003 05:49 PM

Well it's been a few days now and about 200 miles and I'm not so sure about these Goodyears, they feel very uneasy when cornering and when flooring it hard on a straight I can almost feel them losing traction.
How many miles before they get sticky?

Sheepsplitter 10 August 2003 10:01 PM

I put about 20 miles on mine and they were good.
Are you sure they fitted them the right way around?
Also is your geometry correct?

ChrisS/P1 11 August 2003 07:08 PM

Done about 500 miles now, and must admit they are getting a lot better.

They are on the correct way round, but today was the first day that they started to loosen up and feel a bit more grippy.
Next time I have a day off I might get the geo checked.
Where do you recommend around this area?

Sheepsplitter 11 August 2003 08:41 PM

Power Engineering up in Uxbridge look after my motor.
They do a really good fast road setup, based I believe on the Prodrive settings, but with a few tweaks.

Hey sheepsplitter where abouts is Humphries ?

I'm going to be after some F1's soon as the crossroads garage groupbuy seems to have died :(

Sheepsplitter 12 August 2003 06:38 AM

It's on the A30 at Bagshot, just past the BP petrol station and Jacks Fish & Chip shop.
