Still not decided what to put on the front yet but I'm starting to get a picture of what people think, although obviously subjective.

Has anyone tried any Yoko's though, let me know if you have (16" standard rims)

desparatly in need of some fronts!

When I bought my car exactly a year ago, it was already kitted out with Yokeys. They were however very near the end of their life. Are yours 205's? I ask because I have the gold Subaru alloys and the tyres have always been 225's. I found that the soft compound Yokeys did improve the handling slightly, but I reckon the tyre has a shorter life. I've now got 4 x Dunlop sport 2000's on my Impreza. The handling is just as good and they are more reasonably priced. Don't go for the Avon's... The road noise I'm told is unbearable.

Hi

Put Yoko AVS Sports (215x45x17) on mine just recently and, so far, they seem to be pretty grippy in the dry - I'm quietly impressed with them - very similar to my beloved old SO2's. Haven't pushed them in the wet yet so can't comment but have to say they give you a lot more confidence so far than the Pzero's that they've replaced.

Scooby-saint,

Thanks for the reply. They are the standard 205/50R16. I've not heard of people putting 225's on standard rims. If you go too wide you start to get a lot of flex in the tyre.
