360 - 380 bhp?

I havent even go that much with a bigger turbo in the scooby :(

darkblueturbo 03 August 2003 09:46 PM

you should be on the lancer register really - don't you know how to use the internet properly yet??

Spudgun VI 03 August 2003 09:56 PM

its only a bit of fun;):)
i actually like scoobys, ive owned two of 'em. i just decided one day i needed a fast car so i bought an evo:p:D

beamer 03 August 2003 10:07 PM

So you have finally flown the nest and have found something else to do your washing:)

Spudgun VI 03 August 2003 10:14 PM

yeah beamer, evos good for a 'quick spin' now and then:D

darkblueturbo 03 August 2003 10:24 PM

thought about the Evo VII for a while but I decided to spend my money on tuning mine to 350horses... still got a long way to go having only just decatted it yesterday but I love the scoobs too much to not have one... Much nicer looking car, IMO (classic shape, that is)

Spudgun VI 03 August 2003 10:34 PM

classic scooby IS a fine loking car. dont know whats involved getting one to 350bhp, but i imagine you may have to go internals. evo engine will take far greater punishment. i have standard rods and pistons, and push out (last dyno figure) 402bhp, perhaps a little more (but not much) now that its had map/maf sensor thingy done and a few other bits and a remap of my power fc.

next stage for me is rc stage 4 which involves 25g turbo kit. 480bhp/400lbs/ft on standard internals:eek: and its reliable:)

darkblueturbo 04 August 2003 06:10 AM

bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump and remap should take it to about 320 / 330 - after that on a UK model the internals will start to go so it's forged piston time etc...

Costs a lot of money but it'll be worth it. If I'm replacing internals might as well keep going past 350.... :D

RC can do wonders with an Evo....they aint to shabby with the subaru too....ive had mine fetled buy the guys there and im over the moon with it,.....great job, fair prices.

not a bad pic for a "Mitsu-$hity"...lmao

darkblueturbo 04 August 2003 11:20 AM

I've heard good things about RC's tuning packages.

Tho Norris Designs didn't do a bad take on the Evo VII did they... LOL!!

===WRX=== 04 August 2003 11:32 AM

darkblueturbo 04 August 2003 11:33 AM

I didn't know that... cheeky fekker!

Tell me about the RC demo car then.... sounds interesting...

Spudgun VI 04 August 2003 06:51 PM

rumours of easily 800bhp, maybe more:D
personally i think rc's tuning packages are excellent value for money. i actually got more bhp than i paid for, and havent had a single problem with the car, runs like a dream. if i had a scooby, i'd send it to them aswell. top bunch, fair prices, and care about what they do. only problem is a lot of other people feel this way, hence their phones always engaged, and sometimes theres a bit of a wait to get things done. but well worth it! i wouldnt let anyone else touch my car:)

g man 04 August 2003 09:18 PM

mmmmm

===WRX=== 05 August 2003 01:56 PM

RC's demo car is a closed topic spec wise at the moment, but it will show you what you can do with an Evo, ans $hit load of know how, and a very deep pocket.

Clive so i was informed wanted a 1000bhp out of it, and was well on the way to achiving it, but they opted for a 800+bhp package that was soild and reliable as they may well offer it up as a conversion for the evo.....

If you ever manage to see inside the boot of the car, its a thing of dreams....amazing fueling system, coupled to a turbo that would not look out of place on the QE2 and some more trickery internaly ( clive shouted at me last time i was mooching around....waving his hands wildly and screaming SECRET SECRET...lol )..

its gonna be great......
They do honestly care about what they do, and its nice to be called by your name when you go down to see them, not just looked at like a meal ticket like some other developers do.

Subaru wise.."coughs"....ask to see scots WRX ( or whats left of the WRX )........last time they went to map it, they ran out of road to map 5th gear..lmao...

all in all...nice guys ( and gurl had to add that or jenny might left hook me :) ), fair prices and an A+ service.

all the best

===WRX=== 06 August 2003 11:21 AM

RC did a fair old bit of work on mine:

Apexi PowerFC
Apexi AVCR ( 1.21 bar...keeps things safe )
Apexi Turbo timer
Hks Hyper Exaust system
HKS Super MEtal Flow Induction
HKS SSQV
Evo6 280lt fuel pump
FSE Ajustable fuel pressure reg
Bosch coils
Cusco Strut bars, front upper and lower, and rear upper and lower.
And an RC map for the ecu......MMMmmmmm

if i was you i would go for a strut bar set up...just the upper front and rears made a geat difference to mine..
