This is my first post here having recently purchased a 2000 standard turbo with 40,000 miles & FSSH. I'm well impressed with car but having just has the 45,000 service done, the garage inform me that the car is slightly down on power due to the restricter controlling the turbo boost not working as it should. The part is not expensive and quick to fit (they have ordered it) but is not in stock here in the UK. Has anyone else had this please?

P.S. I also have a clutch judder when cold but does go when engine is warm.

so do about fifty million other subaru owners :)

Forget about the clutch judder unless you bought it from a dealer, in which case see if you can get it replaced under warranty.. It might not stop the judder ("they ALL do that sir"..almost all of them, anyway) but you'll have a new clutch :)

If it was a private sale, forget about it. Try using the Search facility, and see how many thread shtere have been about clutch judder and the possible causes.

Oh, and welcome to Scoobynet :D

Enjoy the forum, but above all DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! ;)

oooo 276 bhp as standerd and plenty of sti parts like ihi turbos and bigger injectors

dont forget to add sum proper octane booster everytime u fill up, im told the 276bhp wrx models run a map pretty close to the sti, which is prone to detting if it gets crappy fuel

Thanks for the info chaps.
It's actually a standard turbo AWD which I incorrectly called a WRX! At least I won't need that octane boost stuff now!
