Hi Graham
if you look in the private ads someone is selling their P1 brakes, it might be a worthy upgrade if your on 16's. They're a bit more than £200 though. Ron |
Hi Graham ,
I ahd on my 93 WRX black diamond groved discs, black diamond brake lines and EBC green pads this set up worked very well , But be warned the discs take an age to bed in so be patient if you go for this set up. To remove the cailpers you need a 17mm spanner , to remove the pads you need a 14mm spanner and to remove the discs you need 2 M8x1.5 bolts and a 13mm spanner . To do the whole job it took me and the old man about 2 hours . Hope this helps Dave P.S. the total for the lot was under £200 |
Graham, Ive just picked up some group N disks and Pagid fast road pads for my 93WRX and that was around £200 from scoobysport. I'll be fitting them this weekend so as yet I dont know how good they are, but if they are up to the usual scoobysport standards they will kick ass......

What is the difference between a standard disk and group N disk? I am looking for a effective upgrade for the standard MY99 4 pots without spending loads.

Dan let me know what the group N discs are like , and how easy they are to fit etc. Would much apreciate . Graham.

Brendan,
The difference between standard and group N discs is the grade of metal used - group N is superior. Have you already changed the pads ? If not, this would be a better first step. Both Mintex and Pagid have their fans... Incidentally, Black Diamond also sell discs for the 4-pot cars which are available for under £200. There are three flavours - drilled, grooved and combi.
