JUST AN ENQUIRY REALLY VALUE FOR MONEY VS PAST SCOOBY,S IS IT TRUE OR JUST AN UGLY RUMOUR (NOT QUITE AS UGLY AS A BUGEYE THOUGH)THAT IT IS THE BEST EVER. HONEST OPINIONS GREATLY ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!

Best in terms of what :

Performance - nope
Looks - nope
MPG - nope
Handling - nope
Braking - nope
Price - difficult to compare
Insurance - difficult to compare
Reliability - not been around long enough but JD Power reckoned they were good years ago
Build Quality - I am sur ethe new STi is just a well built.
Crash protection - again better than previous but the STi would be just as good I would hope.

Performance - Yes for the 21.5K cost
Looks - Yes IMHO
MPG - Yes, far better than the classic
Handling - Yes, again compared to classic scoob
Braking - Nothing wrong with them for road use
Price - Same cost as a MY00 Turbo, so great VFM

All IMO of course, but then I have one so can provide a fair comparison, well between classic and MY03 anyway.

not all classics were the same ;)

I'v coverd 10'000 miles in my 03ppp, Having a classic before this i can honestly say the 03 is better in every department.

1. I LOVE THE LOOKS (I ALSO LOVED THE CLASSIC LOOKS)
2. INTERIOR IS ABOUT 400% BETTER
3. JUST AS QUICK "IF NOT QUICKER"
4. BUILD QUAILTY VASTLY IMPROVED
5. 200% STIFFER SO HANDELS WELL

The o3 is like any other car in the way that has evolved, All cars in genral improve as time goes on.

A classic example is the e-type jag, they say its the best jag ever, but most modern jag owners would not want to own one.
the 03 is just an evolution of the classic, no doubt that 03 drivers will be slating the 04/05 cars too.

The up side of the new age is the body strenth :D but the downside for this it's Obessity :( In the Type 'C' the weight has been greatly reduced :cool:

Looks are always in the Eye of the Beholder, Classic means old, newer dosn't mean better etc. etc. :rolleyes:

Just drive and enjoy them :D:D:D:D
