Hi Guys,

Just purchased a MY03 WRX and this is my first scoob.... What a car!!!

Had the thing less than a week and already had a first attempt at the thing, bloody scared the life out of me waking up at 4am to hear it absolutely screaming.. Want to thank Dr Clifford for doing a great job with the alarm! It certainly scared the buggers off..

On looking at the vehicle in the morning there was no sign of entry??? But there was finger print marks on the passenger door to the right of my handle and another one a the top of the door. These really showed up and I suspect someone who done it had greasy hands as they really stuck on the car..

Sypnosis..

Jealous lads next door come home after a night on the lash, decided to rock the car with there greasy kebab hands??

Anyway gload to be here and hope for good posts in the near future..

You could always rig up the door switch to a solenoid to trigger a sawn off shotgun, that way you can always see who has tried to fcuk with your pride and joy, nice thought but current laws do not allow this behaviour!! :D

Don't know if this is true or an urban myth, but about 15 years ago I worked with a guy whose mate was getting mightily p155ed off with having his Mini stolen.

So, he wired up a switch below the drivers seat and connected this to the ignition and driver's door courtesy light switch such that if the new switch was off, driver's door shut, and ignition on, it would set off the alarm ----- which was four pairs of airhorns concealed under the other seats.

First time it went off, Plod had no difficulty catching the thief. The 145dB blast inside the car knocked the B'stard unconcious and he had blood pouring out his ears!

lol doug
i used to work in a car spares shop, someone had bought some triple air horns and brought them back saying they didnt work, wanting to prove them wrong i decided to connect them up to a battery to show that they worked, holding two wires , crouching over the air horns and battery i connected them up, nearly blew my ears off !
was deaf for a while
