Any body using Linux servers and have a database driven website on here??? Could do with some info/advice re setting up with Dreamweaver MX, so site can be searched...please.

Also, could do with help setting up a bulletin board/forum.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

That is nice and easy, I personally like InvisionBoard loads of features, and free as long as you leave the 'Powered By....' line at the bottom of the site.

Steve, the problem is...I don't know how to configure a website to look at a dB! I have tutorials for .cfm, .asp and .jsp, but the server is Linux so none of these work. I need PHP and mySQL knowledge.

I am working on a site for a friend who has hundreds of products, they are all listed on pages by manufacturer. I would like to make the site searchable as many products are similar, but by different manufacturers. So for example, you can search for a listing of products by that manufacturer, or you can search for all similar products by all manufacturers.

I can set up the dB in Access, but like I say, I am having probs getting it to talk to DWMX.

Ian and Snowcrash, thanks for the BB info, will check it out.
