Hey all, just had to do a fresh install on a friends PC using XP because he had a nasty virus that was unremoveable.

Now i'm nearly all sorted with all the software installed that he wanted but I cant get his CD writer going?! On the last version of windows it was on e: now however there is no sign of it anywhere now with XP.

I have tried add hardware but it wont find anymore CD drives.

Anyone any idea??

The CDRW is a Ricoh MP7060S and I have no disk for it atall.

Many thanks. :)

Mr.Cookie 25 July 2003 04:09 PM

Crypt

Your drive uses a scsi interface so you'll need to set up scsi card before it will even see the the drive :)

cryptwalk 26 July 2003 11:42 AM

Anyone know if this will work??

http://www.vmware.com/download/downloadscsi.html

Failing that Si, YWHM. :)

Gedi 26 July 2003 12:17 PM

It says they are for OS' running under vmware.

You should be able to get the correct scsi driver from the manufacturers site.

btw, no virus is unremovable
