Hi folks, now that I running a couple of RAID 5 arrays at home and I am far too lazy to ever take backups on multiple tapes, I am selling my Sony SDT 9000 DDS3 (12/24Gb) SCSI Backup Drive. The drive has had very little use since I got her and is in mint condition IMO. From memory as I never use them, I have prob 10 or more DDS3 tapes which again have had little use, so should be full of life :) Tape heads etc all in excellent condition due sot lack of use and always cleaned it on the rare occasions that I used the drive.
I will also include a 50-68 pin adaptor and both 50 and 68 pin cables. Should have the Manual too :) Full proper 5.25 size with bezel kit £130 all in please, basically £10 for the delivery. Cheers, Nick :) |
Top, since this is the only place that I put this up so far :)
|
How old is the drive?
|
I think if memory serves I have had the drive since December 2001. I will also check the Manufacuring date on it when I get home.
|
Cheers, if it is under two years I'll definitely have it.
|
Damn, it doesn't have the date of manufacture on it :(. If I can find the reciept for it since I moved then I can give you that, otherwise, I can get an invoice from one that we have sold at work far more recently to use if it is warranty issues that you are concerned about :), but as I said, I really do think that there is lots and lots of trouble free life left in her.
Up to you, if you are not interested anymore, that is fine woth me :) If you want, I can get a piccy or 2 for you. Cheers, Nick. :) |
Nah, I'll still take it.
The monitor you sold me still works so I'm sure the tape drive will be fine ;) Any chance of picking the drive up on Sunday? Nigel |
Yes, that's fine. I was off to Steve Lawson's gaff today and tore the entire loft apart looking for my steering wheel to fit onto the car, so as always, excuse the mess :)
Do you remember where I am again? If not, post up on here with your email address and I will send the info through. Any time after say midday willbe just fine. Cheers, Nick :) |
Yep, I remember where you are.
Should be around after 2 ish. |
OK :)
