I had my clutch replaced on a MY01 wrx. Now on startup there is a solid clunk noise. This only occurs when you swing the starter.

What could it be?

Engine mounting ? Exhaust ?

Sounds like the starter motor might be loose.

yup I also thought it was the starter. But that appears to be solidly mounted.

The clunk noise occurs intermitently. And only when you swing the engine. And only on the first swing.
