Personally I'd go for the STi8, with a PPP. Why? well, it's the newest car you can get, whereas the P1 is one of the last classic shape scoobs. However, for track work the P1 might be better, being that it's basicaly an STi but UK approved (or am I wrong there?)
Of course, if you're just after a track car why not get a MY00 (last of the pre buy-eye cars) and spend the saved cash on modding it into a track car, eg; AP 6-pots, uprated suspension and tyres and then maybe some performance upgrades. |
i noticed that the sti8 has got a lot of body roll but the p1 seems to have none

i was at SGT in taplow the other day....P1 next to an STI7...P1 looks VERY old now, all plastic add ons, looks like a dixons car park on a sat night car now.

Beg to differ, had my P1 parked next to an STI7 over the weekend and the P1 got far more attention. One good quote "Look at that Subaru dad, but what it the other one", dad replies "Think it is one of those Toyota things." Si. |
