first nignt in the capitol hotel - my only other experience of the mid east was Kuwait (as some of you may remember)and Bahrain for a couple of nignts

I've been to Dubai. A really nice place. Watch out for the Russian prostitutes though!

I was lucky enough to have my cousin who was an air stewardess based in Dubai, so she showed me around.

Most of the bars / clubs of full of interesting people, and it's a relatively safe place.

Been there loads of times, its fantastic.

Go to SpiceIsland, all you can eat and drink for £26. Choice of seven cuisines including sea, thai, indian, chinese, mongolian, mexican and one more I can't remember.
The Irish village is also good.

if you're into gold, then get down to the gold souk. or go on one of the many 4x4 desert/dune-bashing excursions - great fun. book a place on the dhow that cuises up and down the creek - the one with the restaurant on board...awesome experience at night...

Yes, I forgot about that! Dinner in the middle of the desert, after being driven there very roughly in a jeep across the dunes.

The ultimate "kidnap" experience!

Take a drive across to Snoopy Island. Funniest looking piece of rock I've ever seen and great snorkling as well.

he he the russian hookers - they were the only females in the hotel nite club.
