No worries, will be doing the same myself tonight. If you find any problems or have suggestions the forums on the beta site are staffed.

Got one of your guys down our place on Monday Jack for ePO. ;)

JackClark 17 July 2003 05:25 PM

Who? ePO is the dogs, I thought you were already using it.

beemerboy 17 July 2003 05:26 PM

is that a blatant advert??

i use http://www.grisoft.com
full product free for home users.....LOL

BB:)

JackClark 17 July 2003 05:44 PM

Not an advert just a chance for current users and the curious to get their hands on the latest and greatest at no charge.

I didn't know Grisoft did Anti-Spam, Privacy, Parental Controls, Firewall, Spyware detection, Ad Blocking, Pop-up stopping, Web Bug blocking and Antivirus all managed from one easy to use and extremely informative utility.

That's an advert, cheers for the opportunity :)

I'm going to install in the morning Ian, will let you know if I get the same or ask on the message board for you.

IanW 18 July 2003 12:08 PM

Cheers Jack.

JackClark 18 July 2003 01:06 PM

The answer was 'we've got one here that works perfectly'

What browser are you using, bla, bla, bla?

IanW 18 July 2003 01:07 PM

IE6 SP1 IIRC

Is currently set to accept all cookies

JackClark 18 July 2003 01:33 PM

I use the same version, have submitted it on the message board, will let you know if we get lucky.

IanW 18 July 2003 01:37 PM

Just tried it on another XP Pro machine with the same version of IE and get the same still!

I am running out of machines to try it on here now ;)

ST AYE 18 July 2003 04:46 PM

Not that I am techo wiz or anything. But try closing IE, then clicking the link in the email from McAfee.
It worked for me.
Edited to add.
I have been experiencing problems, in that I have 5 accounts and now all of the messages both "blocked & un-blocked, all get deposited in my default account. This is on hte order of 40 mails a day.
i have tried to log-on the the beta site, however they have no record of my mail address!!!.
Oh well I suppose you get nothing for nothing

IanW 18 July 2003 09:56 PM

WEll I have just tried it again, and it is working this time!

Lets try VS8 to start with then!

darlodge 18 July 2003 10:07 PM

Jack,
I assume I will need to uninstall my current version (7.0)?

When I have finished playing and I uninstall 8.0, are there any known problems re-installing 7.0 back again?

Darren

IanW 18 July 2003 10:27 PM

Well the Spam Killer and Outlook 2003 do not like running together

JackClark 18 July 2003 10:51 PM

I know nothing about any problems, looking for a few of my own. I'll help as much as I can but the boards are probably the best place.

Ian, there was a message on the boards regarding that version of Outlook and Spamkiller, mixed results.

Privacy Service has a good features, great for kids in todays climate.

IanW 18 July 2003 11:48 PM

Not had a chance to look on the forums yet

JackClark 25 July 2003 09:43 AM

Jack

Is the forum available to the puiblic - or is this your internal one? I've got some questions about Spamkiller when it is installed on XP Home running multiple user accounts. SK seems to run a lot slower (and sometimes crashes) when Sal uses it. If I log into my user account, it works fine. I was wondering if there were any known issues with SK?

Thanks
Chris

JackClark 31 July 2003 09:08 AM

It's a public beta, you should be able to get to the message boards. Let me know if you can't get in.

Chris L 31 July 2003 12:27 PM

Cheers Jack
