I need some help here, I've just sold my import WRX after four years of ownership, and bought a mondeo st200 (Don't ask why, I picked it up cheap, ok? ;) )
Now, I only plan on keeping the mondeo until maybe November, at which point i'll be buying something a bit quicker, maybe an evo, skyline, maybe a 330ci  I've had my insurance with Adrian Flux ever since I bought the scoob, and until now been reasonably satisfied with their service. My actual policy is with groupama, who were charging £680(ish) to cover my 95 WRX, for me and my wife, both 30 years old, full no claims, no convictions etc... They want £1000 to cover the mondeo!!! Go figure!! Now, I can get far more reasonable quotes with 'regular' insurers such as Norwich union etc, but they won't cover grey imports, which will bu99er me up, should I want to buy one later! Any info, ideas welcome! I'm NOT paying a grand to insure a bl00dy mundano! :D Cheers Leigh |
Both footmanJames and Osbourne have quoted me reasonably (relativly speaking), just under 1100GBP for my WRX STi3 (full nbc taken from the pug) and given 50% to full ncb on another policy for my exixting modified 205GTi.
Good luck, and let us know if you find any cracking deals! |
Just had a quote from Footman J today on an STi8 PPP
Riduclous quote 1399 and an unbelievable £550 excess + some other daft small print. |
I think Tesco's is going to be your best bet as they cover 'normal' cars and grey imports.
If not try some of these clicky simb |
Thanks for the replies! I tried Tesco (amongst many others), not competitive at all, wanted over £700, ridiculous!
In the end, Admiral came up trumps, very helpful, will cover greys, and best of all, £515 including protected no claims. Excellent! :) Cheers Leigh |
