Changed from an Athlon 2400+ down to a Thunderbird 1.3GHz and now the BIOS isn't reporting a temperature for the CPU.
I've got temps for system I've got fan speeds for cpu and system But no CPU temp! Where is the sensor typically located to monitor the cpu temp ? Its an MSI MS6738 board (at work) |
Why did you downgrade.....???
Anyways, did you reset the CMOS? If not jumper it now. This may just wake the board up to see that antique T-bird...(?) Edited coz I got really confused and thought that Daz had gone the hole hog and retrofitted an old Duron chip...(as opposed to the T-Bird Athlon) [Edited by JohnnyRob - 7/15/2003 10:58:06 PM] |
Downgraded due to an overheating problem with an XP2400+ -didn't like that fact it idled at 60degC
Will clear the CMOS and see what happens. Cheers |
