I can get a heat rash when it is hot, I use an Aloe Vera type lotion to calm it down and just try to keep cool.
|
i get something like that...but i dont know if its due to heat or another allergy.
have you tried using Witch Doctor gel???? its an antiseptic gel so it will relieve the spots and its also quite cooling so it will feel all nice on your legs :) |
I get them on my arms they don't hurt or itch just looks mingin lol!
|
Calamine (sp?) lotion is good, but you end up with white legs. And avoid getting it on your clothes or fabrics... mare to clean off!
Worked for me when I had an allergic reaction to Fairy-soft non-bio washing powder... well, for a while before I went into shock. |
Reminds me of a guy I used to work with.
He was allergic to some new washing up powder his wife was using to wash the clothes with. At the same time he was playing away from home with a girl, caught some rash and confessed to his wife of his sins. Turns out he was allergic to the powder and nothing to do with the bit on the side lmao...classic!! |
You could suffer from pickly heat which is a slight allergy to the sun.
Antihistermins (sp) will cure this but for now you can buy some Pizz Buin Allergy sun cream to wear when you're out in the sun. Mike |
What gets me, is why only part of the body gets affected, for example my face is fine but my arms are infected?
|
'Tis prickly heat. Cool baths or showers and lashings of the above mentioned coolants. NO highly perfumed products, ie shower gels, perfumes, body sprays....they just make matters worse. It will subside as we cool down. Its to do with the body not being able to sweat fast enough to cope with the heat, hence only certain parts of the body are affected.

I suffer with this from time to time, someone suggested i try Benidryl (sp?) they are capsules/tablets. Taken them a few times recently and the rash on my hands and wrists has gone away each time. Might have nothing to do with the tablets but might be worth a try get them from any pharmacy.

Sound advice, I'll give it a whirl.

Thanks :)

My Son gets the same thing... the Quack recommends Piriton or something of that ilk to relieve the itching and sadly keeping the effected bits covere in the sun... He looks a right arse wearing a balaclava in this weather but Cest La Vie eh.... Listy - Terzo116 |
A good friend of mine has the same problem. It is basically and allergy to strong light in his case. He just has to cover up.

On my arms usually, and usually due to me getting overly hot. |
