my scooby rear wheel bearing has started to whine but i cannot decide which side it is yet, you cannot spin the wheels to hear when all wheels are raised because of the 4wd. The job won't be that bad to do but you will have to press the old bearing out of the hub with a press. How did you tell what side it was?

The rears are a pain. The fronts are much easier:)

You will need to press the old bearing out and the new one in.

Take it for a spin on a windey road. You will be able to tell by which bearing loads up under pressure while going around either left or right hand bend. But to be honest if your gonna do one you may as well do both. But go to a bearing supplier, not subaru dealer , it will be same bearing but half the price. If you carnt find a bearing supplier. Try an agricultual dealership who will send you to the right company who supplies them.

Remember Subarus moto for parts price.

Think of a number, double it, add a couple off zeros on the end .
