can anyone help with probs on my 95wrx import.head gaskets went and its been in to the garage,stripped down and replaced and is currently all back together.garage now informs me there is a problem with overfuelling when engine warms up(seems ok when cold)resulting in rough running and hunting on tickover.car was running fine before head gasket failure,mods are full de-cat induction kit and dumpvalve.maf and lambda checked and are ok
anyone got any ideas

update
when engines warm the co emissions are pulsating from 2%-7% in line with the hunting.
any help much appreciated.

My guess would be Oxygen sensor or temp sensor.
Both items are commonly destroyed with a head gasket failure.

got car back today after 4 weeks in garage and 1 week in a specialist tuners.drove it home about 20 miles and boy was it overfuelling.popped the bonnet and had a good look around.noticed the bailley dump valve was open with engine running and would only shut when throttle more or less on full.i crimped the small pipe coming off the top of the dv and noticed the engine immediately pick up as the dv now closed.put a tie wrap on the crimped pipe and took car for a spin.its now running pretty good but am wondering if thers any danger of keeping the small pipe crimped over.when car was in garage engine out i had the mechanic fit a de cat downpipe.question is would this allow the turbo to produce more boost which in turn has prooved too much for the dv.if this is the case do i just need to fit a better dv
any help much appreciated

Great observation. Yes. Replace the dumpvalve or it may need to be taken apart and cleaned with a rag and WD40.

If it's like the Blitz ones, (I haven't seen the Baileys), remove from engine, take it apart, spray with WD40 on the piston, the cylinder and the spring and wipe with a cloth. Do not use sandpaper as it will take meat off the piston and it will leak.

DVs stick sometimes from the gunk and the moisture they collect over time.

Ive got a bailey, it came on the car. I think the sound is great but the dv itself is sh1t. Get a jap one.
