Get your mate to lease a SL55 and use that :D Has plenty of torque which is perfect for towing big boats :D problem solved ;)

Seriously though, consder the newest Nissan Patrol Diesel cars. They are quite good for the money second hand.

Hmm, quite like the idea of the LPG Range Rover although the load space in a Transit would be useful for all sorts of other things. Decisions decisions. As for the SL55 suggestion - well, it's better than a caravan I guess :D
