i was sitting at the traffic lights today and a saxo pulls up becide me, i wasnt going to race for any reason what so ever, he shot away like hell, dont understand what he had under his bonet but it wasnt standard. the car was of standard body kit with hub caps.

did it have a max power sticker? if it did they add about 100bhp! ;)

If it was white with white standard alloys then it was Matt Dales which has 260bhp (s/c :D) (last I heard it was off the road again) and its very fast! I beat it at Crail but as I dove for the line in 4th gear he was catching me fast and I have 275bhp in a classic :eek:

If it was truely quick it would have been s/c and there are a few of them kicking around. A lad called barry who lives in glasgow fits the s/c kit I think :)

Think I read about this car before, is it the one that matched a STI8 on the ¼ mile?

It could probably match an 8 for time but its a real handful in 1st, 2nd and even 3rd! I launched against it and took a massive lead (6+ car lengths) I slotted into 4th and smiled at how far back and yet about 3s later just after I'd crossed the line I could see him about 1 car length from me :eek:!!! And my car is quicker than a non-ppp sti 8!!

ay up saxo boy, remember theres quite a few supercharged VTS's going round now, especially since barry started installing the kit. Think Matt Dales is permanently off the road now.

Yeah I heard that too which is why I recon its probably another s/c one! It could also have been NOS'd up although I'd say thats less likely :)

Mate I work with has just had his VTS supercharged.... 151.3BHP @ wheels....

That sounds quite conservative for a S/C VTS. Are you sure its not an R?

You get varying amounts of power with the SC kits.... He needs 6th injector and remap to get more as he is close to running out of fuel if it goes higher....

Dunno, 150 at the wheels could be easily 170 at the flywheel if not more..

150bhp at wheels is roughly 190bhp at fly on saxos+Pugs 106gti's
