Hi,

How much approx would a 45k service to a wrx cost? (cambelt/sparks etc)

I've been quoted £470 from a local garage and £400 from Lex autocentres.

Does this sound about right - I'll probably go for the local garage to give it that personal touch (he'll come and take the car and bring it back!)

I'm in the Rugby area if anyone can recommend somewhere,

thanks

marcus

Try Roger clark motorsport near hinkley, 01455 828610, i`m not sure you need plugs this time around, do you? you might consider buying the belt yourself, could be cheaper, also because i`m not the trusting type, you might want to take off one of the plastic cam belt covers and with the engine running just mark the belt with a tyre marker, that way you will know its been changed.

Cost me just over £300 to have service and cam belt (itself a £98 part!). Contact Dave West @ Risborough 4wd on (01844) 274652, it was 1 yr ago but he won't have increased his prices much I'm sure. tell hime I sent you, there are many on the BBS who use him.

FYI, the cambelt change is a 2 hour job according to Subaru, so the cambelt part of the service is around £200+VAT (assuming £50 an hour labour).

Scoobysport charge £359 incl vat, using Subaru OE parts and Silkolene fluids. Select Monitor diagnostic check included.
