so when I get my decat (2nd August creeps ever nearer) I'm going to replace the panel filter.

She's a MY00, so I'm worried about all the MAF horror stories...
What panel filter should I go for? Or are they all pretty much or a muchness?

Green are fine, ITG should be OK, wouldn't touch Ramair with your barge pole, in a 99/00.

Pete will probably laugh at me on this one ;)

Green would get my vote as being 100% safe with ITG following a very very distant 2nd ;)

Be safe ... be green :D

PS On a more serious note... the green cotton gives a slightly noticeable pick up in mid range oomph over standard filtration with none of the slimey gunge drawbacks of the ITG :)

Make 100% certain (if you buy the green) that upon fitting you locate it centrally in your airbox ie. cut off an equal portion of the locating fins all the way round.... Read instructions carefully prior to the cutting and you'll be just fine :D

Cheers guys... Green it is, then!

Firstly, I won't be fitting it myself, I'm a gimp and can barley manage checking the oil, coolant and water without my Dad!

Secondly Pete, you're the one fitting my de-cat. Do you supply green panel filters? If so can I get one when you do the down & centre pipes please? If not, can I bring one with me from mailorder?

I thought Ramair was what Prodrive used on the classic PPP, or was that only up to 98?

SiPie :)

Dan

We stock these and can indeed fit one when we do your decat.

Thank you Mr. Croney....

I sooooo can't wait!

About the airfilters... how often do they need to be replaced as part of a service schedule, or are they just cleaned at service time?

I think that day I also asked if you could fit a knock link for me, but a friend is doing it during the week for me.

Ta very much...!!

PS - just got all excited cos I realised it's LESS THAN 1 MONTH until de-cat (and now green filter) day!! WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!! :D

Change them every 30,000 miles and expect to pay £36.95 plus vat for a green filter.

ITG's again replace them every 30,000 miles and expect to pay £36.00 plus vat

What about a K&N panel filter? 50,000 between cleans or so the instructions say:D
