As the subject states, has anyone any experience of dealing with the trading standards as I would like to make a complaint about a certain dealer garage.

Thanks.

When I tried to make a complaint about a garage I had bought a car off, they weren't interested! They aren't worth the hassle IMHO.

This particular garage have broken something on my car but are denying it :(

I've got a problem with a dealer garage as well. Told IM who said they would ask the dealer for an explanation and will get them to write to me. That was over 6 weeks ago!

Nothing...

if the are a member of RMI federation - tell them (in writing) that if its not resloved (say in 2 weeks) that you will be complaining to them.

and then do that if they dont resolve it. - 1st thing RMI will ask if you've complained high enough up the tree to someone who can reslove it.
they will write to the garage for their side of the story and then mediate.

worked for me - got cheque as soon as RMI wrote to them.
