Can't answer you precisely but a MY99 headlight goes straight into an STi v5 so I'd guess that as long as you get the right MY UK light to match your car's year, you should be ok. Good luck finding a dealer to sell you one...

Has anyone fitted a 95 UK spec headlamp to a 95 WRX. First thing will it fit???? secondly how different is the glass if at all???

Answers on a postcard please (or even better on the bulletin board)..

Cheers Kato (Mark)

Thanks for the Info Richard.

Iteresting this thing about Dealer and not selling parts for Jap origin cars I had a UK spec car before so I got to my parts man quite well and he's ok about selling me parts.

However, last week I went to the Bradford Dealer and asked for an oil filter for a WRX guy in the parts dept was a complete @rse about the whole thing, telling me that he wasn't allowed to sell me a part for a WRX.

In the end I told him it was for my UK spec car, then he sold it me.

I have re[placed many of the lights on my wrx with english sourecd parts and have had no problem, to my knowledge they are identical.

Some dealers are ok but it's the sort of thing that isn't publicised because they get into trouble. I can understand why they won't sell a part for an import but on the other hand, they're missing out on the money which some other dealer (or importer) will get instead. Ho hum... I guess there's some info somewhere on the format of chassis numbers so you might be able to make one up for a UK car of the right age. Seems a bit of a hassle but there you go...

I`ve got the vin. no. etc for my old 95 car which was written off if anyone wants to use it.

Moz, you're not meant to admit that sort of thing in public.... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

There is a large Scooby dealer who I phoned and asked to get put thru to parts.

I asked him for some STi parts and he said he couldn't help me...

...unless I had the part nos. If I had part nos then he would happily help me order anything for my car. This is with no intro - I could easily have been someone from IM have a sneaky test. Mmmm, entrapment!

So it is possible, shop around http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
