Forgot, perl2exe blows as well, it's the wrong tool for the job :)

can anyone tell me how to convert a complied .exe to a perl script please ??
has the perl to exe software got a rewind button;):D

bl00dy hell steve, do I need special glasses to understand that link:D:D
I have some script that someone did for me at the last place t (pretty good ones), gives all software from all machines on multi site domains, checks sp levels on all standard MS products & updates with gui choices for users etc...
but it's all exe'd up & I can't amend my_old_domain to my_new_domain etc...

I don't think there's anything you can do, unless you can extract it all you wont be able to modify it.

Shunty,

May be worth cranking up your fave HexEditor to have a look at the .EXE file. Sometimes strings dont actually get encoded when the EXE wrappers them....

Worth a very long shot with a x12 scope ;) ....
