They wouldn't sell me a knock link and sensor because they had a uk distributer, even though it worked out about £50 cheaper.....

Ordered a part and wanted to pay by VISA card. They then wanted to have a copy of my last card statement and lots of other information.
Also, they asked me again and again what country I live in, I kept telling them "Luxembourg" but this name was not a country for them.

Found out later that even without all this information they already charged my card, so I had to send emails back and forth to get my money back.....

Wouldn't bother again,

Can't comment on the mail order stuff, but had my car serviced there last Wednesday and they did a great job.

100,000 km service, timing belt etc.

Cheers

Catalunya,

By the time you've added carriage, import duty and VAT, it wouldn't have been £50 cheaper. I made that mistake importing a dumpvalve direct from Turbosmart in Australia myself.

Looked really cheap on the website in Aus, but by the time it got to my door it worked out a lot more expensive.

I have a lot of MRT goodies on both my cars and all I can say is it's all top notch.

Cheers

Rich

Rich,

I have a lot of experience with buying stuff abroad. I worked out VAT + 10% import tax on everything including the carriage and it worked out about £50 cheaper. They still wouldn't sell it me though, luckily a group buy came along the same time and saved me even more :)

so do you think youd buy from an european dealer who can supply EXCACTLY the same equipment, and more?

I've had a few dealing with MRT, they are good people with superb products. While it might be slightly cheaper direct, I found it wasn't as easy as dealing with someone in the UK. And it would be a whole lot easier if anything went wrong...

Not surprised they haven't heard of Luxembourg, it's not a real country is it?! :D
