v5 man 29 June 2003 07:02 PM

today, the police pulled up outside my drive whilst i was washing the car, for a friendly chat. they informed me that my car was a high risk target for thieves (shock, horror!!) and that i should keep the keys out of view at night (which i do). but they started to tell me that twocers were using fire extinguishers to break in to the impreza, and not using it to smash the window either!!!! they then wouldnt go into detail further, but left cos they got a call on the radio. wot are they on about then??

Claudius 29 June 2003 07:13 PM

Something to do with the pressure it can generate, maybe to pop a lock open or something? Never heard of it, but sounds like a possibility...

DanTheMan 29 June 2003 07:23 PM

perhaps they spray foam from the extinguisher under the bonnet to mute the alarm ?

guessing its CO2 so its freezes it.

Theyll never get mine, its got one of those key pad thingies in it, you have to press 2569 before itll go.

Ive also got a kill switch cleverly hidden in the ash tray, ingenious hey.

As for the house breakers Ive out whitted them too, I leave my keys under the plant pot by the front door.

You have to be careful when you live at.... 56 Robin Close, Liverpool, L14 DD9.

Ive just filled up with Optimax and Im of to Tenerife for three weeks, but Ill sleep well, knowing Ive taken these precautions.

Oh, and dont think you can have the wheels off neither.

You need a special "nut taker offer", which I keep on my carkey ring, Ive thought of everything....:)

Also Ive had a letter off Tracker, going something like, "you have ignored our last three letters for your £99.00 subscribtion so we have cancelled your cover".......They havent been round to take it out though, so I take it Ive won on that one aswell.

'"Stands up and looks through window"'....There is a fella reversing down my path in a car exactly the same as mine........what a coincidence.;)
